This unit is designed to be a exact reproduction of the original but with some small improvements. We improved the lower mounting tab for an easier installation which helps prevent the common problem of breaking during install. We also improved the upper mounting tab to hold better than originals which was another common problem. It also has the correct finger recess area exactly like originals. This unit also includes the special metal retaining clip installed.
