Converting a factory 2-speed automatic transmission to a modern 6-speed overdrive just got easier with Shiftworks shifter conversion kit. Why waste time trying to piece together brackets, finding a good shifter, as well as guessing how to convert from factory rod linkage to a cable for gear changes? Shiftworks did all the homework, allowing you to swap in a 6L80E or 6L90E 6-speed overdrive. Their kits start around a brand new shifter that retains the original-style look, but adds in neutral safety and back up light switch hook-ups, plus functionality for modern transmissions. Also included is a 32 inch cable (replaces the rod linkage), detent, console lens, hardware, brackets and instructions.
