These convertible quarter window outer belt weathersrtips are designed to be exact reproductions of the original units. They are based off the original 1999-2004 style that featured a tab style mounting to your existing outer moldings. Each pair of weatherstrip included 4 special low profile mounting screws to help with proper installation on 1994-1998 SN95 Mustangs. Restoration Note:
These quarter window outer seals were originally attached to the outer moldings that go from the quarter window all the way around to the back side of the trunk. On 1994-98 cars these seals were attached to the moldings with a wire staples for assembly line speed. Then in 1999-04 Ford changed the design to a bent over reatainer tab that would hold to the outer moldings. These units are designed to mimic the 1999 thru 2004 style with the proper mounting tabs.
Installation Note:
1994-1998 Convertible Mustangs owners will need to remove the wire staples and use the 4 special low profile mounting screws to install them back onto the original outer moldings. This is a simple install that will allow the 1999 thru 2004 style to be used on your 1994-1998 Mustangs.
