Typically the 3/4 offset Ford starter is used on M/T with 157 or 160 tooth flywheels and all A/T (157, 160 or 164 tooth flexplates).

Note use of a PMGR style starter with a computer controlled engine requires the addition of a diode suppressed starter solenoid relay switch (11450),See F-11450-5 (Motorcraft) or M-11450-4B (replacement), for a proper solenoid.
