Repro.Modeled after the traction bars that were originally available on 1966 Shelbys to eliminate axle wrap and wheel hop.The original bars were made from thin wall tubing and are prone to bending.Scott Drake traction bars are made to handle more power with super strong .187 wall tubing that is twice the thickness of the competition.4 hole axle and frame brackets are fabricated from extra thick steel plate for maximum strength.Each kit is finished in a durable semi-gloss black powder coating for a lasting show quality appearance.Rubber bushings, alignment spacers and zinc plated grade 8 hardware are included.
Note: will only fit original 1967-1970 Ford 8 and 9 rear ends with 2 7/8 tubes.Many later 9 rear end housing and aftermarket housings have larger axle tubes that have been retrofitted into these cars.
Note: Welding required for installation.
