By installing this modified lower plate, you will eliminate the need for the wire that runs from the points. which was not one of Fords, “Better Ideas”. It uses a brass contact ring, and gives you a brass contact that attaches to the point stud. If you are using this with a modern upper plate, you will need part number A-12148-WLM. U.S.A.
